Women in LeadershipWomen in Finance Leadership: The Route to Chief Financial Officer
Finance produces a large share of women at qualified and manager level and a small share at chief financial officer, and the drop happens at identifiable points where particular experience is required and rarely offered. This course maps those points. Delegates work through the roles that lead to the seat and those that do not, since controller, reporting, treasury, audit and commercial finance are not equally weighted by a nomination process. Profit and loss exposure and its role as a gate are covered. Board and audit committee exposure, investor and lender relationships, and the external network that appointments run through follow. The course closes on the transition into the role and on the first hundred days when the finance function becomes yours.
