SAP SystemsSAP Solution Manager and Application Lifecycle Management
Most organisations run Solution Manager for one purpose and leave the rest switched off, then rebuild the same capability in spreadsheets and separate tools. This course covers using it as intended. Delegates work through the solution documentation that records what the business actually does in the system, and why documentation nobody maintains is worse than none. Process hierarchies, and linking a process to the transactions, configuration and test cases behind it, follow. Change control management is covered end to end: request, approval, transport, and the controls an auditor will ask about. Test management is addressed, including test plans, execution and defect handling. System monitoring, alerting and root cause analysis follow. Job scheduling and the batch landscape are covered. Custom code management and identifying what will break on an upgrade are addressed. The course closes on release planning and on keeping the content accurate once the project team has gone.
