SAP SystemsSAP Basis Administration and System Operations
Basis is the layer everything else runs on, which means its administrator is the person who restores the system when it stops and the person blamed when it is slow. This course covers that role. Delegates work through system architecture, instances and the work process types, then daily operations: monitoring, job scheduling, spool and update management. Transport management and the change path from development to production are covered in detail, since an uncontrolled transport is how production breaks. User administration, client management and system copy follow. Backup, recovery and the restore test nobody performs are addressed. The course closes on performance analysis and on planning downtime and upgrades.
