Quality, ISO and Auditing

Quality Assurance in Education and Training Institutions

A regulator's site visit that finds assessment decisions with no moderation trail, or programmes running on outdated curricula, can stop an institution enrolling learners. Delegates work through the quality frameworks that apply to colleges, universities, TVET centres and corporate academies, including the expectations of bodies such as the QCTO and the CHE in South Africa and their counterparts across the region. The sequence covers programme design and periodic review, assessment and moderation, learner feedback and tracer studies, lecturer and facilitator development, records of learner achievement, self evaluation reports and assembling evidence for external review. ISO 21001 is introduced as an optional management system for educational organisations. Delegates leave able to run an internal quality cycle that keeps programmes current and evidence ready for external review.
