A programme exists because several projects together produce an outcome none of them delivers alone, which makes the programme manager accountable for a benefit rather than a deliverable. This course covers that accountability. Delegates work through programme definition and the blueprint describing the capability being built, benefits identification, ownership and the measurement that shows whether they arrived. Tranches and the decision points between them are covered, including stopping a programme that is no longer worth completing. Dependency and interface management across projects follows, since this is where programmes fail. Governance, the programme board and reporting are addressed. Business change and readiness are covered, because a capability nobody adopts delivers nothing. The course closes on transition into operations and on realising benefits after closure.
