Leadership and ManagementProgramme Management for Donor Funded Development Projects
Donor funded programmes answer to a funder for compliance and to a population for results, and the two sets of obligations pull in different directions when a plan meets conditions on the ground. This course covers holding both. Delegates work through the grant agreement and the conditions that govern spending, procurement and reporting, results frameworks and the indicators the programme will be judged on, and workplan and budget management under rules that limit reallocation. Partner and sub grantee management follows, including due diligence and the capacity building that consortium work assumes. Reporting cycles across multiple donors are covered. Audit and verification are addressed, including ineligible expenditure. Adaptive management and requesting a change to the plan follow. The course closes on close out, on asset disposal and on what happens to the work after funding ends.
