Health, Safety and SecurityOccupational Health and Safety Management Systems and ISO 45001
A safety management system exists to make good performance repeatable rather than dependent on whoever is on shift, and most that fail do so because they were written to pass an audit instead of to run an operation. This course covers building one that works. Delegates work through the structure of the standard and the context and interested parties that scope it, worker participation and consultation as a specific requirement, and hazard identification feeding into operational controls. Legal and other requirements are covered, along with objectives and planning. Emergency preparedness, monitoring and internal audit follow. The course closes on management review, on certification and what an auditor actually looks for, and on keeping the system alive after the certificate arrives.
