Cybersecurity and ITIT Asset and Software Licence Management
Organisations pay for software they stopped using, run software they never bought, and discover both during a vendor audit that arrives with a settlement figure attached. This course covers managing the estate. Delegates work through asset discovery and building an inventory that stays current, the licence models in use including per user, per device, per core and subscription, and entitlement records and where they are actually kept. Reconciling deployment against entitlement is the central exercise. Vendor audits are covered from receipt of the letter through to settlement negotiation. Lifecycle management from procurement to secure disposal follows. The course closes on cost optimisation, on shadow information technology and on the cloud subscriptions nobody in IT approved.
