Project and ContractInterface Management on Large Projects
On a large project the work is split between contractors and packages, and the failures happen in the gaps between them rather than inside any one scope. This course covers managing those gaps. Delegates work through interface identification and the register that records them, the responsibility matrix that assigns each side of an interface to somebody, and the agreements that define what will be delivered across it and when. Physical, contractual, organisational and schedule interfaces are treated separately. Escalation and the resolution of a disputed interface are covered. The course closes on interface management through commissioning, where unresolved gaps finally become visible.
