Logistics and Supply ChainFreight Forwarding and Management
A freight forwarder arranges movement it does not perform, using documents that create real legal obligations, and the margin sits in knowing what those obligations are. This course covers the work. Delegates cover the forwarder's role and liability, transport documents including bills of lading and air waybills and what each does and does not entitle the holder to, and booking, consolidation and cargo handling. Rates, quoting and the charges that surprise a client are covered honestly. Insurance, claims and the limits of carrier liability follow, and the course closes on dangerous goods, special cargo and the compliance obligations attaching to each.
