Risk, Compliance and AMLCompliance Risk Assessment and Universe Mapping
Compliance functions are usually resourced by argument rather than by evidence, and the argument is weak because nobody has mapped what the organisation is actually obliged to do. This course builds that map. Delegates work through constructing a regulatory universe covering every obligation the organisation carries, assessing inherent risk across likelihood and impact including regulatory and reputational consequence, and evaluating the controls that reduce it. Residual risk and the judgement behind it are covered honestly. The assessment is then used for what it is for: directing monitoring, training and resource. Refresh cycles and trigger events follow. The course closes on presenting the assessment to a board in a way that supports a resourcing decision.
