Project and ContractBusiness and Contract Law
Commercial staff make legally binding decisions daily, usually without legal training and often without realising the decision was binding. This course gives them the grounding. Delegates work through contract formation and when an exchange of emails becomes an agreement, authority and who can bind the organisation, and the terms implied by law alongside those written down. Exclusion and limitation clauses are examined for what actually survives challenge. Breach, remedies and termination are covered, along with the basics of agency, and the course closes on when to involve legal counsel, which is a judgement most commercial disputes turn on.
