Artificial Intelligence Governance and Organisational Accountability

African organisations are adopting these tools faster than most have built the structures to control them, and the first governance question usually arrives after a system is already making decisions about customers or staff. This course builds the framework in advance. Delegates work through an inventory of where such systems are in use, including the ones bought inside other software without anybody deciding, risk classification proportionate to what a system actually affects, and the accountability question of who owns an automated decision. Approval gates before deployment are covered. Human oversight, contestability and the right to an explanation follow. Vendor and third party model governance is addressed, since most organisations buy rather than build. The course closes on monitoring, incident response and emerging regulation.
