Workplace Mental Health and Psychological Safety Leadership

Stress, burnout and undiagnosed mental strain now rank among the leading causes of absenteeism and turnover across African workplaces, yet most managers have never been trained to spot or respond to them appropriately. This course builds practical mental health literacy and psychological safety skills for HR practitioners and line managers, without turning them into clinicians. Participants build a workplace mental health policy and a manager response protocol they can implement immediately.

  • Recognise early behavioural signs of stress, burnout and psychological distress
  • Hold a supportive first conversation with a struggling employee without overstepping professional boundaries

  • Establish referral pathways to appropriate professional support
