Women in Leadership

Women in Information Technology and Cybersecurity Careers

Technology careers advance on demonstrated capability, and the demonstration is usually informal: who gets handed the incident, who is asked into the architecture discussion, who is trusted with production access. This programme works on those moments. Delegates map specialisation routes across infrastructure, security operations, software, data and governance, and what each demands in evidence rather than certification alone. Technical credibility is addressed, including answering a question at the edge of your knowledge without either bluffing or apologising. Being handed the incident, and performing under the scrutiny that follows, is covered. Certification pathways and study while working are addressed. Community, conference and open contribution as visibility are covered. Moving from operational work into architecture, leadership or advisory roles follows. The programme closes on remote and distributed working, on negotiating for technical roles and on sustaining a career through on call and shift patterns.
