Risk, Compliance and AMLWhistleblowing and Speak Up Programmes
Most serious internal wrongdoing is known to somebody before it is discovered by anybody official, and whether it surfaces depends on whether reporting looks safe. This course covers making it so. Delegates work through the legal protections available to a discloser and their practical limits, channel design including anonymity, independence and accessibility for staff without email, and the intake process that treats a report seriously from the first contact. Investigation is covered: scope, evidence, interviewing and the fairness owed to the person accused. Retaliation is treated directly, including how it usually appears. The course closes on reporting to the board, on trend analysis and on the programme metrics that indicate health rather than volume.
