Warehouse and Material Handling Safety

Warehouses combine moving vehicles, pedestrians, working at height and heavy loads in a confined space, which is why their injury rates are what they are. This course covers controlling that. Delegates work through the traffic management that separates vehicles from people, forklift and handling equipment safety including the operator competence regime, and racking safety covering installation, inspection, damage assessment and the collapse risk that damage creates. Manual handling, working at height and load stability are covered, along with fire risk in a building full of packaging. The course closes on incident investigation and on the near miss reporting that precedes most serious warehouse injuries.
