A working, non technical grounding in what a blockchain actually is, what it does well, and the far larger set of problems it does not solve. Delegates learn how a distributed ledger reaches agreement without a central authority, what a consensus mechanism costs in energy and speed, how public and permissioned networks differ, and where a conventional database would be the better answer. The course deliberately spends as much time on failure and limitation as on capability, because the commonest expensive mistake in this field is adopting the technology for a problem that did not need it. Delegates leave able to interrogate a blockchain proposal rather than take it on trust.
