Supply chains in this region carry exposures that generic frameworks do not describe: a single port, a border that closes, fuel that becomes unobtainable, and a currency that moves faster than the lead time. This course works from those. Delegates work through mapping a supply chain beyond the first tier, since the dependency that stops production is usually two suppliers away, and identifying single points of failure including sole sources, single routes and single people. Risk assessment across supply, demand, operational and external categories follows. Mitigation is covered honestly: buffer stock, dual sourcing, route alternatives and what each costs. Business continuity for supply disruption is addressed. Early warning indicators and supplier financial distress signals follow. The course closes on responding to a disruption and on rebuilding after one.
