Finance and TreasuryStructured Finance
Structured finance separates and reallocates risk between parties, and it does so through arrangements whose complexity is itself a risk. This course covers the main structures and their mechanics. Delegates work through securitisation, special purpose vehicles and true sale, credit enhancement and tranching, project finance structures and their security packages, and the rating and investor analysis applied to structured transactions. The course covers the documented failures of these instruments frankly, including the concentration of risk that tranching can conceal, and applies the material to African infrastructure and receivables transactions.
