Engineering and TechnicalStatistical Process Control
Every process varies, and the central skill is telling the variation that is simply the process breathing from the variation that means something changed, because reacting to the first makes output worse. This course teaches that distinction. Delegates work through variation and the difference between common and special cause, data collection and the sampling that makes a chart meaningful, and control chart selection for variable and attribute data. Chart construction, limits and the rules that signal a genuine shift are covered. Process capability follows, including why a capable process and a controlled process are not the same thing. Reacting appropriately to a signal is addressed. The course closes on implementing charts on the shop floor and on charts that get filled in and never read.
