Yarn faults are expensive in a way few other manufacturing defects are, because a single weak place stops a weaving machine hours later and the cost is counted in downtime rather than in wasted fibre. This course works back from that. Delegates work through fibre properties and the cotton parameters that determine what a mill can spin, including staple length, micronaire, strength and trash content. Bale laydown and mixing follow, since consistency between laydowns is what keeps yarn uniform. Blowroom, carding and the cleaning efficiency each stage contributes are covered. Drawing, combing and roving are addressed, with the evenness they establish. Ring spinning is covered in operational detail alongside rotor and air jet alternatives. Yarn testing follows: count, twist, strength, evenness and imperfections, and what each result implies for the next process. The course closes on winding, clearing and diagnosing a fault back to the machine that caused it.
