SAP Business Technology Platform and Clean Core Extensions

Every modification made inside the core system is a cost paid again at each upgrade, which is why extension has moved outward and why the discipline of keeping the core clean now decides how expensive a landscape becomes. This course covers that shift. Delegates work through what clean core actually requires and the decision of whether an extension belongs in the system or beside it. Platform services are covered, including runtime environments, identity, connectivity and destination configuration. Building a side by side extension is worked through, including the application programming model and consuming core data through released interfaces rather than direct table access. Event driven integration follows. In app extensibility is covered for the cases where it is the right answer. Governance is addressed: who may build, how it is tested and what happens when the builder leaves. The course closes on cost, on operating extensions in production and on migrating existing modifications outward.
