Authorisation design decides who can create a vendor and who can pay one, and in most organisations it has drifted into a state where nobody can say who holds what. This course covers regaining control. Delegates work through the authorisation concept of objects, fields, roles and profiles, then role design and the difference between building roles around jobs and building them around transactions. Segregation of duties conflicts are covered concretely, with the combinations that enable fraud. Analysis and remediation of an existing landscape follow, including mitigating controls where separation is impossible. Emergency and firefighter access is addressed. The course closes on evidencing authorisation control to an auditor.
