Delegates work through scheme types from handpumps and piped gravity systems to solar pumped supplies, and the maintenance each realistically demands. Community management models and their weaknesses are covered honestly. Tariff setting, revenue collection and the arithmetic that shows whether a scheme can fund its own repairs follow. Spare parts supply chains and the availability that determines downtime are addressed. Operator training and the minimum competence a scheme needs are covered. Solar pumping is treated in detail given its spread, including sizing, battery decisions and theft. Monitoring functionality across many schemes follows. The course closes on major repair funding and on the point at which a scheme should be professionalised.
