AI and Digital TransformationRobotic Process Automation
Software robotics automates the repetitive screen and data work that sits between systems that were never integrated. This course covers the discipline end to end. Delegates learn to identify processes genuinely suited to automation, to document a process at the level of detail a robot requires, to design and build automations, and to run them in production with exception handling, logging and monitoring. The course is direct about the failure pattern: automating a bad process makes it faster and harder to fix, and unattended robots create a control and audit problem that must be designed for. Governance, security and the operating model receive full treatment alongside the build.
Course objectives
- Identify processes genuinely suited to software automation and reject those that are not
- Document a process to the level of detail an automation requires
- Design an automation with exception handling and logging built in
- Run automations in production with monitoring and support
- Design governance, access and audit controls for unattended robots
- Assess the return on an automation honestly, including maintenance cost
- Establish an operating model that scales beyond the first few automations
Who should attend
- Process improvement and operational excellence staff
- Business analysts and process owners
- Shared services and back office managers
- Internal audit and control professionals
- Technology teams supporting automation platforms
