Quality, ISO and Auditing

Quality Management for Oil and Gas Supply Chains

A valve that leaks on a wellhead because a subcontractor skipped a heat treatment record was a supply chain failure first. This course applies the sector requirements of ISO 29001 and API Spec Q1 to businesses that design, make and service equipment for upstream and midstream operators. Delegates work through contract review and the customer specific requirements typical of operator purchase orders, risk based planning, management of change, control of outsourced processes and critical purchases, traceability and material test reports, maintenance of production equipment and the handling of nonconforming product found after delivery. Local content rules in Nigeria, Ghana and elsewhere push more of this work to regional fabricators, which the course addresses. Delegates leave able to close the gaps between a general quality system and what oil and gas customers expect to see.
