Project and ContractRisk Management for Capital Projects
On a capital project the exposure is concentrated in decisions taken during the first few percent of spend, and the consequences appear years later when almost nothing can be changed cheaply. This course covers managing that. Delegates work through risk identification across technical, commercial, regulatory and country dimensions, qualitative assessment and the biases that distort it, and quantitative cost and schedule risk analysis. Contingency derivation from the quantitative result replaces the percentage habit. Response planning, ownership and the risk register that survives contact with delivery are covered, and the course closes on lender and development finance reporting expectations.
