Process Plant Optimisation and Energy Conservation

Energy is often the largest controllable cost in a process plant, and much of it is lost to causes that are well understood and rarely addressed. This course builds the method for finding and closing that gap. Delegates carry out energy accounting across a plant, apply pinch analysis to heat integration, examine steam and condensate systems, compressed air, pumping and fired heaters for the losses each typically hides, and work through debottlenecking to raise throughput without capital. The course finishes on the harder part: quantifying a saving credibly, building the case for it, and putting monitoring in place so the saving does not quietly disappear over the following year.
