Engineering and TechnicalPipeline Integrity and Flow Assurance Management
Pipelines fail slowly and then suddenly, and most of the warning appears in data somebody has to be looking at. This three day course covers the engineering and operational disciplines that keep oil and gas pipelines flowing safely over long distances. Delegates work through corrosion mechanisms and cathodic protection on buried line, the planning and interpretation of inline inspection and intelligent pigging runs, and the flow assurance risks that stop a line without any loss of containment at all, including hydrate formation, wax deposition and slugging. Risk assessment is applied using recognised integrity management frameworks, and the course closes on leak detection, emergency response and regulatory compliance for the cross border networks serving the Southern African interior.
