Cybersecurity and ITNetwork Security and Secure Architecture
Networks were built to connect things and security was added afterwards, which is why an attacker who reaches one host so often reaches everything. This course covers designing against that. Delegates work through network fundamentals from a security point of view, segmentation and the zones and conduits that limit lateral movement, and firewall, proxy and access control design. Remote access and the architecture that replaced the traditional perimeter are covered. Wireless, remote sites and operational technology networks receive their own treatment, since each breaks the standard assumptions. Monitoring placement and encrypted traffic are addressed. The course closes on reviewing an existing network and prioritising what to fix first.
