A large share of rotating equipment failures trace back to lubrication that was wrong, contaminated or simply absent, and lubrication is usually the least supervised task on a maintenance schedule. This course gives it the attention it earns. Delegates work through lubricant types and selection, viscosity and additive function, and the contamination control that determines oil life far more than time in service does. Storage, handling and dispensing are covered, since most contamination is introduced by the people topping up. Oil analysis follows: sampling technique, the tests available and what each reveals, and trending results into a decision. The course closes on grease application, on relubrication intervals and on building a lubrication programme.
