A green belt runs improvement projects inside their own function while doing the day job, which makes project selection and scope discipline more important than statistical depth. This course is built around that reality. Delegates work through the improvement cycle from defining a problem worth solving, through measuring a process as it actually runs, to analysing where variation comes from. Measurement system analysis is covered, since a project built on unreliable data proves nothing. Process mapping, waste identification and root cause analysis follow. Improvement selection, piloting and control planning are addressed, including the handover that keeps a gain after the project closes. The course closes on presenting results honestly, including projects that did not deliver what was hoped.
