Maintenance ManagementKaizen and Continuous Improvement Events
A kaizen event concentrates a cross functional team on one process for a few days and produces a change that is implemented before everybody returns to their own work, which is its whole advantage and the reason it fails when treated as a workshop. This course covers running one. Delegates work through selecting a process where a short intensive effort can actually finish something, scoping and the preparation that must be done before day one, and team composition including the operator who does the work. The event itself is covered day by day: current state observation, waste identification, redesign, trial and implementation. Standardising and handing over follow. The course closes on the follow up that verifies the change held and on building a pipeline of events.
