IT Governance, Risk and Compliance

Technology risk is now a board level exposure, and the governance around it is frequently weaker than the technology itself. This course covers IT governance, risk and compliance as a discipline. Delegates work through governance frameworks and their practical application, IT risk assessment, control frameworks and their mapping to regulatory obligations, third party and cloud risk, and the assurance activity that tests whether controls operate. Data protection under POPIA and comparable regimes is covered, along with incident reporting obligations and the board reporting that translates technical exposure into terms a director can act on.
