IT for Non IT Managers

Managers outside the technology function approve technology spend, depend on technology decisions and are frequently unable to interrogate either. This course fixes that without teaching anybody to code. Delegates cover how the pieces fit together, from networks and servers through cloud to applications and data, in terms that make a technical conversation followable. The commercial layer is the point of the course: what cloud actually costs and how that cost behaves, why projects overrun, what technical debt is and why it eventually stops a business, and how to read a vendor proposal. Security and continuity are covered as management responsibilities rather than technical topics.
