Global Capital Markets

A working map of how capital moves internationally and what determines its price. Delegates cover the money, bond, equity and derivative markets, the participants in each and what they are actually trying to do, the issuance process from mandate to settlement, and the market infrastructure that clears and settles the result. Pricing and yield analysis are worked through rather than described. The course pays specific attention to how African issuers and investors access these markets, including sovereign and corporate eurobond issuance, the effect of a credit rating on cost of funds, and the currency exposure that comes with raising money offshore.
