Process and ChemicalGas Conditioning for Oil and Gas Operations
Raw gas leaving a wellhead is nowhere near a pipeline or sales specification, and the conditioning steps between the two determine both product quality and the integrity of everything downstream. This course covers those steps. Delegates work through inlet separation and slug handling, hydrate prevention and inhibition, dehydration by glycol and by solid desiccant, and hydrocarbon dew point control. Compression and its role in the conditioning train are covered, along with the specifications that each downstream user imposes. The course closes on troubleshooting: wet gas reaching a pipeline, glycol losses, and the operating changes that most often cause a unit to fall out of specification.
