Logistics and Supply ChainExcellence in Warehouse and Inventory Management
This course covers running a warehouse well and holding the right inventory. Delegates work through warehouse layout and slotting, receiving, putaway and picking methods, stock accuracy and cycle counting, inventory policy including safety stock and reorder point calculation, and the classification that determines how much attention each item deserves. Practical attention is given to the causes of stock inaccuracy, which is almost always a process problem rather than a counting problem, and to the trade off between service level and working capital that inventory policy exists to manage.
