Health, Safety and SecurityEnvironmental Management Systems and ISO 14001
Environmental performance is increasingly a licence condition, a lender requirement and a customer question, and a management system is what turns intentions into evidence. This course covers building one. Delegates work through the structure of the standard, identifying environmental aspects and evaluating their impacts, and the compliance obligations register that underpins the system. Objectives, operational controls and the management of significant aspects follow. Monitoring, measurement and the data that supports a claim are covered, since environmental claims attract scrutiny. Emergency preparedness for environmental incidents is addressed. The course closes on internal audit, management review, certification and the life cycle perspective the standard requires.
