Cybersecurity for Everyone

Most successful attacks begin with somebody outside the technology function doing something entirely reasonable. This course is for them. Delegates learn to recognise phishing and its more convincing variants, including messages that arrive from a colleague's genuine compromised account, why password reuse converts one breach into many, and how multi factor authentication is defeated in practice. Practical material covers safe handling of documents and data, working securely on personal devices and public networks, and what to do in the first ten minutes after realising you clicked something. The tone is deliberately practical and blame free, because an organisation whose staff hide mistakes cannot respond to them.
