Emerging TechnologiesConnected Worker Technology and Industrial Wearables
Frontline workers are the least digitally equipped people in most industrial organisations, and the systems that hold the information they need are designed for somebody sitting at a desk. This course covers closing that gap. Delegates work through the connected worker case including procedures, permits and inspections delivered at the point of work rather than on paper carried from an office, device selection for hands busy and gloved conditions, and the intrinsically safe requirements that apply in hazardous areas. Wearables for location, proximity and fatigue monitoring are covered, along with the consent and privacy questions they raise, which are the reason many deployments fail. Connectivity underground and in remote plant is addressed. The course closes on adoption and on measuring whether the work got better.
