Quality, ISO and AuditingAdvanced Product Quality Planning and Control Plans
Problems discovered at launch, once tooling is cut and the customer is waiting, are the most expensive problems a manufacturer can have. Delegates work through the five phases of Advanced Product Quality Planning: planning and defining the programme, product design and development, process design and development, product and process validation, and feedback and corrective action. They build the outputs that matter: special characteristics lists, process flow diagrams, the link from process FMEA to the control plan, prototype, pre launch and production control plans, reaction plans, run at rate trials and the production part approval package. Gateway reviews and cross functional team roles are covered for automotive suppliers and for mining equipment and engineering firms adopting the method. Delegates leave able to plan a launch and write control plans that operators actually use.
Course objectives
- Explain the five phases of Advanced Product Quality Planning and their outputs
- Plan a cross functional launch team with gateway reviews
